General If you access the Materials outside the United Kingdom, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with the laws of your jurisdiction. This Agreement is governed by the internal and substantive laws of England and Wales without regard to its conflict of laws principles. No waiver of any term of this Agreement shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such terms or any other terms.
Contracts This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Consumer Law We agree to meet the obligations set out under the consumer protection laws currently in force including: • the Sale of Goods Act 1979; • the supply of Goods and Services Act 1982; • the Consumer Credit Act 1974; • the Trade Descriptions Act 1968; • the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 and the 1994 Regulations; • the Consumer Protection Act. 1987; and • the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.
Severability If any provision of this Agreement is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be contrary to any law, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect as if said provision never existed provided that the contract is capable of continuing in existence without the unfair term.
Termination AAelectronics.co.uk and the Service Provider possess the right to terminate your ability to access the Site for any reason, without notice.
As a user, you are responsible for your own communications and are solely responsible for the consequences of their posting. Description of Goods All the products we sell are of a technical nature and it is not practical to publish detailed specifications of all the products. All images, descriptive matter, specifications and advertising on our site are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate description of the goods. Full detailed specifications are available from the manufacturer's brochures or their websites.
Payment and Price The total price payable for the goods will be stipulated at the time when you place your order whether or not the order has been confirmed. We are entitled to make adjustments to the price to take account of any increase in our supplier's prices, or the imposition of any taxes or duties, or if due to an error or omission the price published for the goods is wrong whether or not the order has been confirmed. We will inform you of the correct price and give you the opportunity to cancel the order. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. All prices on our website are inclusive of VAT and delivery charges.
Typographical Errors In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error or error in pricing information from our suppliers, taxes or duty changes, we shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders listed at the incorrect price whether or not the order has been confirmed. If your credit card has already been charged and we subsequently cancel your order, we will immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the value of the incorrect price (including delivery charges).
Availability of Goods All products and services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. If we do not supply the goods for any reason we will not charge you for these and we will refund any money already paid for them. However, we will not be responsible for compensating you for any other losses you may suffer if we do not supply the goods.
Availability of Services - incl. gift subscriptions All services, including gift subscriptions, sold on AAelectronics.co.uk, is sold subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. Subscriptions are offered by third party suppliers to AAelectronics.co.uk and all service offerings are maintained by them. For purchases of gift subscriptions you have a seven working day cooling-off period which begins the day after you receive any gift voucher/certificate and redeem it at our partner's website or place of business. During this cooling-off period you may cancel your order and request a refund. Please use the Contact us form to inform us of your decision to cancel. You will be required to return any gift vouchers/certificates to AAelectronics before any refunds can be actioned and you will also be responsible for the cost of doing so. Refunds are always made to the person who purchased the gift subscription, and if originally purchased by credit or debit card, the refund will be credited to the same card. If the card has expired you will need to request a refund in writing, quoting details of a new card. You will not be able to cancel your gift subscription order if you redeem and begin using the gift subscription service during the cooling-off period or any time thereafter.
Delivery AAelectronics.co.uk always actions to adhere to delivery estimates but they are unfortunately estimates and with the best will in the world and the most efficient systems, things sometimes do go wrong, very often outside of our control. Any dates we specify for the delivery of the goods are approximate only and we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges, or expenses caused by any delay for delivery of the goods and time is not of the essence.
RETURNS POLICY FOR AAelectronics.co.uk At AAelectronics.co.uk, we want you to be satisfied every time you shop with us. Occasionally however, we know that you may want to return items. To help you with this process please see our returns policy below.
Damage In the unlikely event you should receive your goods damaged we will arrange a replacement item for you. It is your responsibility to notify us within 72 hours of receipt that an item has been received damaged (please see risk below). To notify AAelectronics Customer Service of any damage to your products (s) please use the Contact Us on the site.
Please check quantity of pieces delivered against the carrier's paperwork and note shortages against the carrier's documentation.
Risk As soon as we have delivered the products to your door you, the customer, are responsible for them. We will only deliver goods to the address on the order and goods will not be left without a signature. From the time of receipted delivery of the goods, any loss or damage to the goods shall be at your own risk. Any transit damage to the goods, shortages or incorrect goods supplied must be noted on the delivery consignment note at the time of delivery.
Collections that have been arranged and are missed due to the customer being unavailable during the designated period will incur a £9.99 surcharge.
Incorrect/ Non delivery To notify AAelectronics Customer Service of any incorrect or non-delivery of product(s) please use the Contact Us form on the site. If you receive incorrect goods it is your responsibility to notify us within 72 hours of receipt at which point we will make the necessary arrangements.
We can only accept liability for non-deliveries if we are notified within 3 days of the advised/anticipated delivery date.
Faulty
Upon delivery or within 28 days: In the unlikely event that your goods are faulty on delivery, or within 28 days of receipt, please contact our customer services department via the Contact Us on site within 72 hours of receipt of goods or fault developing.
The process differs greatly from product to product and we will either arrange a collection and replace the item or advise the contact details of the manufacturer if they make their own arrangements.
If we arrange collection you will be issued with a unique number against which to return the product.
Please be aware you are responsible for ensuring the product is suitably packaged for return. The goods must be returned in the original packaging. We recommend the original packaging be kept for no less than three months in case of a fault developing or any other transit requirements you might have.
The product must be returned complete with all parts; such as speakers, leads/cables, remote controls, batteries, stands, manuals etc. Failure to do so will delay the processing of your return and incur a cost to you.
Please ensure that you have completed the return form fully providing all the required information - especially serial number and a detailed description of the reason for return. It will help us to process your return much quicker if we have all the information we need from the beginning.
The cost of any damage caused due to insufficient packaging will be charged to you. This charge will be at least 15% of the purchase value.
Once the goods are received back in our depot the fault will be verified and if we agree the fault, a replacement product will be sent out to you.
This does not apply to faults caused by accident, neglect or misuse, for which there will be no refund or exchange.
After 28 days of receipt: Should a fault develop after 28 days of receipt please contact the manufacturer directly in the first instance as the majority of which are happy to deal with customers and resolve any faults or problems over the phone or via a service engineer visit. A list of manufacturer contact telephone numbers can be found in the Help & Info section.
If a manufacturer advises you to contact your retailer - AAelectronics.co.uk please do so using the Contact Us on site. We will then review your fault and take the appropriate action. If we collect your product please be advised that we will only send the item off for repair with the manufacturer. Should a repair not be possible, the manufacturer may issue a replacement which we will forward onto you? Please note that repairs can take up to 6-8 weeks to complete
Canceling an item you have the right to cancel your order at any time before a confirmed delivery date free of charge.
You have the right to cancel your order within 7 working days after receiving your products without giving a reason providing the goods are in a resalable condition. The 7 working day cancellation period begins the day after receipt of those goods and you are required to notify us in writing within this time.
You are however responsible for the safe return of the product to us, including the cost of doing so. We will happily arrange this on your behalf and we will pass on the direct cost of doing so. Additional requirements or costs incurred, such as timed collections or overseas surcharges, for which there is additional cost to us, will be advised & passed on.
The cost of return varies by product and our Customer Services will confirm the amount, but as a rough guide the minimum cost, for products up to 15Kg, is £7.99. For products between 15Kg & 35 Kg such as 28" televisions and under counter refrigeration the cost is £9.99. For larger products such as 32" televisions & above, standard refrigeration, washing machines etc. the cost is £49.99. For very large items such as range cookers or American style refrigeration the cost is £99.99.
The above costs are a guideline only and a quotation for the exact cost is available upon request. Cost of collection will be deducted from the refund.
Under the Distance Selling Regulations we are obliged to action a refund within 30 days of written request being received. However as a customer focused organization we set standards that far exceed our obligations. Accordingly our internal target to action a refund is 4 days, which we always endeavor to achieve.
If goods have been dispatched and require return our target is to action the refund within 4 days of receipt at our returns centre or certainly within 30 days of the cancellation being requested, if that occurs sooner.
If you have decided to cancel your order or wish to return your products to AAelectronics.co.uk we will refund your credit card within 30 days of written cancellation being received.
If we agree to accept a return of your product(s) and have advised you of the courier contact details then please ensure you keep the receipt our courier will provide as proof that they have collected the product(s). This receipt should also detail the return consignment number(s); should it not then please record such information and keep this safe. This will be your proof of return to us which we may ask for to assist in the processing of your return.
This section has been introduced to incorporate the new European Directive on distance selling which is incorporated into UK law by The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.
